Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Now Available In Germany

Arash AF-10 SuperCar

It Cost £320,000 & it is Britain's latest edition of SuperCar. Introducing the Arash AF-10, a car made to go from 0 to 60mph in well under four seconds with maximum speed of 220mph. The heart of the AF-10 is a 7.0-litre V8 engine found in the Corvette Z06, tuned to 550bhp which is connected to a six-speed Graziano gearbox to transfer power to the wheels. Autocar reported that the six-speed sequential gearbox found in the Zonda F will also be available as an option. Triple rear diffuser and separate front wing inspired by the Yamaha OX99-11 supercar will generate immense downforce thus giving the Arash a razor sharp handling characteristics. Performance figures are help by the fact that the car only weighs 1260kg. Very few parts on the AF-10 will come from other cars, which helps to explain the price. The wheels will be 19-inch at the front and 20-inch at rear, with double-wishbones all round.Loris Bicocchi, who helped fine-tune the Bugatti Veyron, is carrying out the chassis work, which is due to start immediately.The man behind the project is Arash Farboud, who created the Farboud GTS that is now the Farbio.

Zenvo ST1 SuperCar

Its raw danish Power as the Zenvo ST1 powered by a 7.0-litre V8 engine pumping out 1100b bhp. According to Zenvo the ST1 is not only meant to raise your heart beat but a “trackworthy supercar that would be also suitable for everyday use”.

I hear you say that it looks a little bit like a Corvette z06...well although the R&D and design work took place in Denmark, the ST1 is actually based on the American Muscle Car. It even share the same engine which was supercharged and turbocharged unit has been tuned to produce 1104bhp and 1055lb ft of torque.

The ST1 top speed is electronically limited top speed of 233mph and can get from 0-62mph in a claimed 3.0sec. It weighs 1376kg thanks to the use of a lightweight steel spaceframe, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 802bhp per tonne. The bodywork is made up of lightweight carbonfibre panels. It has double-wishbone suspension all round, with adjustable anti-roll bars and three-way adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers. Do note that the front wheel is 19-inch but the rear ones are larger at 20-inch.

The Car which is going to be hand-built in Denmark will feature a comprehensive range of creature comfort technology such as climate control, sat-nav, a head-up display and cruise control. No fuel economy of CO2 emission figures have been released. ( If you can afford such a car, I suppose the price of fuel & road tax would not be a big issue.)

According to Autocar, there will only be 15 units built and get this...Zenvo chooses to whom they will sell the car too. To put it in their own words “specially approved customers”.So eventhough you have 850,000 euro (£770,000) to spare they might still put you through an interview session to judge your worthiness.

Lexus LFA Super Car Launched!

This fire breathing Lexus is definitely a highlight of the Tokyo International Motor show. Lets get down to the juicy details. Under the hood of the LFA you will find a 1LR-GSE 4.8 liter DOHC V10 that cranks out 552hp at 8,700 rpm and 480Nm of torque that is achieved at 6,800 rpm (90% of which is available from 3,700 rpm). This engine co-developed with Yamaha has Dual VVT-i technology, equal length exhaust manifolds and high-volume, 12-hole fuel injectors, a total of 40 valves,12:1 compression ratio and is Euro 5 compliant. ------

As for the transmission, the Lexus LFA has a 6-speed Automated Sequential Gearbox which is operated by paddle shifters located on the steering wheel. The drivetrain also has four driving modes that is made up by Auto, Sport, Normal and Wet modes. All this power transmitted results in the LFA making a century sprint in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 325km/h or 202mph. Breaking power is provided by Brembo's carbon ceramic 390 mm front discs and 306 mm rear discs.

The Lexus LFA sports a drag coefficient of 0.31, has its body mostly made up of Carbon-Fiber (natuarally) is 4505 mm in length and weighs 1480kg or 115kg heavier then the Ferrari Enzo. Bridgestone-sourced 265/35ZR20 tires are to be found in the front while 305/20ZR20 tires are fitted at the rear.

The LFA will be limited to 500 units and pricing in the US starts from approximately US$375,000. For that price you get your LFA hand assembled in the Motomachi plant located in Toyota City Japan.
