The outside of the ABT R8 GT S has a red paint finish that is contrasted by the use of carbon fiber parts in the middle section of the car. Carbon fiber was used for the engine compartment, red air scoops, windscreen frame cover and both of the front and rear skirts – all in order to reduce the overall weight of the car, although they didn’t say by how much. It also got a brand new set of rims that are available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes.
This increase in power from 520 hp to 620 hp was possible by installing a performance kit that includes a sports exhaust system, allowing the 5.2-liter V10 to take the car to 60 mph in only 3.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h). To round up the upgrade program, they’ve installed a more taut suspension.
