2011 Ford Mondeo Gets Edgier
Yeah its time for The Ford Mondeo to capture the hearts of European drivers again. Staying true to the kinetic design cues, Ford will raise the bar for the D-Segment cars again in terms of handling & comfort. Among the power plants one expect to find under the hood is Ford's new generation of super-efficient direct-injection, turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engines that give a 20 per cent reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions over current engines. Among the likely candidates according to Autoexpress are a 1.6-litre offering between 150bhp and 180bhp, and scheduled to debut in the C-MAX next year. There will also be a 2.0-litre producing upwards of 200bhp – and a 150bhp 1.4-litre version. Range topping variant are offered with a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 with 350bhp and 475Nm of torque.Ford also hinted that there would be any price increment over the current model with production set to begin in 2012.
