Ferrari World Theme Park At Abu Dhabi

Its every Ferrari enthusiast dreamland literally. The Ferrari World Theme Park At Abu Dhabi will open its doors to visitors come 2010. The theme park has an alien like structure which reminds me of the Nitrogenous base life-forms seen in the 2001 sci-fi movie Evolution. The iconic red roof is rumored to be inspired by the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body & this where the largest Ferrari Logo in the world lives. This will be the biggest indoor theme park to date and of course the first Ferrrari Theme park.



The theme park is built on Yas Island, a 2,500 hectare island dedicated to leisure, entertainment and lifestyle. Among other worlds best are the fastest roller coaster travelling at top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph) which is aimed at giving thrill seekers a feeling of being in an F1 race car. Speaking of F1 the theme park is actually located adjacent to the Yas Marina Circuit which host the inaugural 2009 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Toyota Flower

Toyota seems to know no boundaries when it comes to creativity & innovation though most of their production cars look dull lately. Toyota has created two flower species that absorb nitrogen oxides and take heat out of the atmosphere. This flowers are planted around the the grounds of Toyota’s Prius plant in Toyota City, Japan & its a derivatives of the cherry sage plant and the gardenia.

According to Toyota, they have been criticised by its rivals, who claim the company’s petrol-electric Prius isn’t as green as other conventional vehicles once the car’s manufacturing process is taken into account. So the planting of this genetically modified plant is aimed at reducing the impact of manufacturing a Prius on the enviroment. Now the equation fits together haha.

Gardenia's leaves create water vapour in the air while sage derivative’s leaves absorb harmful gases hence they both function as a pair to reduce the need of cooling & cleaner air around plant. The plant at Tsutsumi also features solar panels on its roof & photocatalytic paint on its exterior walls that also absorb harmful gases.

I was cursing like hell when my high school decided that students have to wear their tie everyday to school when the ambient temperature hovers around 28 to 30 degrees celcius in my classroom. If you think that is ridiculous then get this.... All the students at Luolang Elementary School in Huangping China has to Salute every passing car on your way to and from school. This was reported by the New York Times. According to the press, education officials promoted the saluting edict to reduce traffic accidents and teach children courtesy. Do read on for more ridiculous rules in the middle kingdom.
